As a Briton, Micki has the least communication problems in the country. Besides, she simply uses her charm when dealing with matters, whereas the others would have to use buckets full of Kenyan Shillings. For the Kenyans, she is simply “Mama”. Micki and her first husband Stefan moved to Kenya in 2010. After more than 20 years with Lufthansa she has quit her job with a heavy heart to spend more time for the project on site.
Micki’s responsibility is probably the most important part of our project: sponsorships. More than half of our students are sponsored one way or the other.
