Your bank is not obliged to honour direct debits in case of a lack of funds in your account. You may reject direct debits without specific reason within 6 weeks, in which case the sponsorship will be automatically terminated. The authorisation for direct debits may be revoked any time.

In case you should wish to pay for your sponsorship by bank transfer kindly add the pupil's name and student number in the narrative. Please add EUR 2,00 per transaction if you choose to pay in instalments. We recommend installing a standing order with your bank as Watoto does not induce payments and Mekaela Academies usually handles missing sponsorship fees like the termination of the sponsorship.

Please note: Watoto may not issue tax receipts to relatives of sponsored children. Tax receipts are usually sent in January for a preceding year even when we have received several donations during that year. That helps us reducing our administration expenses.
